Summary: Yacc helps you track food, nutrition, weight, and goals. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking.

1. Information We Collect

Yacc may collect information you choose to enter into the app, including:

• Food logs, meal descriptions, calories, macros, serving details, and barcode lookup results
• Weight entries and weight-tracking history
• Daily nutrition goals, including calorie, protein, carbohydrate, and fat targets
• Profile and setup information, such as birthday or age, height, weight, sex, activity level, goal pace, and related preferences
• Optional appetite support settings and check-ins
• Saved foods, recent foods, and food history
• Describe usage counts used to manage monthly feature limits
• Subscription status and entitlement information

Yacc may also process technical information needed to operate the app, such as device type, app version, diagnostic information, and basic server request information.

2. Camera Access

Yacc requests camera access so you can scan food barcodes. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning. Yacc does not store photos or videos from your camera.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide food logging, nutrition tracking, weight tracking, and goal tracking features
• Estimate nutrition information from meal descriptions you submit
• Look up barcode and nutrition information
• Sync your app data across sessions and devices when supported
• Manage free and paid feature limits
• Verify subscription access
• Improve reliability, fix bugs, and provide support

4. Third-Party Services

Yacc uses trusted service providers to operate core app features:

Firebase

Firebase is used for account-free authentication, cloud sync, backend functions, and data storage. Yacc may store your food logs, goals, weight entries, saved foods, usage counts, and related app data in Firebase so the app can function reliably.

OpenAI

When you use the Describe feature, the meal description you enter may be sent to OpenAI to estimate nutrition information. Do not enter sensitive information that is not needed to describe the food or meal.

RevenueCat

RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status and paid feature access. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, entitlement status, subscription status, renewal information, and related subscription data.

Apple App Store

Apple processes all App Store payments and subscriptions. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your data for third-party advertising or tracking.

We may share information only with service providers needed to operate Yacc, comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, prevent abuse, or complete a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

6. Data Retention

Yacc retains app data for as long as needed to provide the app’s features, maintain your history, support subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, and operate the service.

You can reset your app data inside Yacc from the Profile tab. Resetting data removes food logs, weight history, saved foods, goals, setup answers, and related app data where supported. Subscription status remains managed by Apple and RevenueCat.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• Reset your Yacc data in the app
• Stop using camera access through iOS Settings
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings
• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of data associated with your use of Yacc

8. Health and Nutrition Information

Yacc is a nutrition and wellness tracking app. Nutrition estimates may be incomplete, inaccurate, or vary by brand, serving size, preparation method, and available data. Yacc is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making major nutrition, weight, medication, or health decisions.

9. Children’s Privacy

Yacc is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Yacc, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. International Users

Yacc is operated from the United States. If you use Yacc from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
